“I Will Not Be Bullied”: Seyi Tinubu Rejects Feuds’ Allegations on Social Media

The son of the Nigerian President, Seyi Tinubu, has strongly distanced himself against circulating accusations linking him to the escalating online feud between social media influencers Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan and Mitchell Mukoro also known as King Mitchy.

In a detailed Instagram statement released on Saturday, 28th February, 2026, Seyi refuted the allegations as baseless fabricated claims aimed at tarnishing his reputation amid a dispute he said he never initiated or joined.

The source of the controversy is traced to VeryDarkMan, after he accused King Mitchy of mismanaging a financial support from Seyi Tinubu, a donation reportedly meant for a rapid school renovation project.

Famously known for her NGO work, King Mitchy was said to have completed the public school upgrade in just six days, prompting VeryDarkMan to probe for accountability before he escalated the matter, alleging improper ties between the former and the President’s son.

Seyi has so far firmly maintained that his sole interaction with Mitchy was a single public meeting where he offered support for her youth empowerment initiatives, consistent with his decade-long philanthropy through personal donations and his foundation focusing on education, healthcare, and enterprise.

“I met Mitchy once, in a public setting, alongside others. On that occasion, I provided financial support toward her NGO activities, just as I have supported many young Nigerians.”

He therefore explained that a supposed follow-up was canceled due to his ill health condition.

He strongly rejected private encounters, secret arrangements, or any impropriety, accusing VeryDarkMan of exploiting the feud for personal attacks. “For reasons best known to him, VDM appears to have been looking for a trigger. If my name generates attention, let us at least deal in facts.”

Reaffirming his readiness to fight online harassment, Seyi noted, “I will not be bullied, and I will not dignify fiction with panic. I have experienced bullying before, and I understand the harm it can cause.”

Meanwhile, King Mitchy warned VeryDarkMan of consequences, heightening tensions as the activist claimed threats from both parties.

Earlier Trends

Recall that King Mitchy’s management had previously announced that the influencer passed away in Prime Care Hospital Abuja, following efforts to save her prove abortive, after the lady suspectly consumed a bleaching chemical.

However, the same management retracted the death statement on an Instagram post, explaining that King Mitchy is doing fine.

The hospital has earlier disassociated itself from such news, and threatened to institute legal actions against anyone involved in such misleading information.

Mitchy had detailed her recent project of renovating a school in just six days. She had also questioned VeryDarkMan regarding his handling of public donations he had received since the start of 2025.

The latest episode of online saga underscored growing concerns over social media’s role in amplifying unverified claims, particularly when involving prominent figures.
